Oxtron joins a global network of startups
Mexico City, June 7, 2022 - Oxtron, the CarbonTech company, was selected to participate in Mexico’s 2022 accelerator program. Oxtron was one of over 470 other startups to apply for the accelerator located in Mexico City. “Without a doubt, MCMX will change the dynamics of our organization, thru the four month program we will receive support from industry experts to optimize our business strategy, help us create new alliances and prepare for our official market launch. This is a landmark achievement for us; a global-scale recognition of the climate impact we deliver through our products, a capture system and an accounting platform, in the food industry, agriculture and general society. The MassChallenge jury was especially impressed with our impact and business model, earning us a spot in the Mexican accelerator” said Jazmín Salazar, CEO and founder of the organization. Since 2016, MassChallenge Mexico has accelerated more than 200 Startups, they create acceleration processes without taking any type of equity. To these efforts MassChallenge Mexico adds the support of experts and partners. Among their greatest achievements is having among their alumni the first Crypto-Unicorn in Latin America, Bitso, which was part of the first Acceleration Program in 2016. Oxtron is focused on measuring, reducing and capturing the emissions generated in the value chain of the food industry. With the help of MCMX we will be able to reduce up to 30% of restaurant emissions and capture 60% of the gases generated from combustion, achieving a significant impact on companies and the environment.
